Twenty emails come in asking for money.  And there is a crisis 4000 miles away that sounds serious.  And candidates are running for office in your own community.  But how do you know who to respond to, whether to give, where to give and how much.  What is your own approach to philanthropy and how can you make it more meaningful for you?

In these three sessions we will look at the roots of charity, consider what structures exist today to encourage giving, and learn more about how to make philanthropic decisions.  There will be no pressure on any participant to give and no requirement or expectation to disclose personal financial information.  

What there will be is a chance to develop and/or refine your own perspective on giving, help you make choices between and among competing interests and create a tzedakah plan that provides guidance going forward and makes you feel more comfortable with your choices.
