SAJ Adventurers

Adventurers at NYC Recycling Plant, Brooklyn

With a possible few exceptions, what the SAJ Adventurers all have in common is that we are considered to be "Senior Citizens" - that is, we're older, probably retired, and dealing with a number of issues that are common to older people. Our main focus is on planning daytime activities during the week to places of interest in the New York City area. Some of the outings under consideration for the spring and summer are: A visit to the 9/11 Museum, a tour of the Chinese American Exclusion/Inclusion exhibit at the New York Historical Society led by SAJ Member Jordan Wouk, a guided tour of Roosevelt Island conducted by SAJ Member Elaine Kramer’s son, David, who has been instrumental in the development of the island, a guided tour of the New York Stock Exchange by SAJ Member Hugette Havdala’s son, Gerard, who works at the exchange, and, an annual favorite, attendance at a Staten Island Yankees baseball game.

We also distribute information that might be of interest to Seniors and we use our list-serv as a vehicle for members to share information about health issues, social services and other topics of interest to Seniors. Send your e-mail address to Ron Kushner if you would like to be included and think you could benefit from any of these.
