Other Israel Film Festival

SAJ co-presents TORN, a film from the Other Israel Film Festival. Rabbi Michael Strassfeld will moderate the post-film discussion. This film is being shown at the JCC, 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street. To purchase tickets, click here.

Getting to Know You Series

Congregants will share their lives and work during this new SAJ series. The first session will feature SAJ members and Hebrew School parents, Katie Daniels and Mary Fiance Fuss. Katie is a sculptor whose site-specific installation currently is currently on display on Randall's Island. Mary is Director of Public Relations for Jazz at Lincoln Center and will discuss her work with this internationally renowned cultural institution.  Read more»

An Interfaith Commemoration for 9/11

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the events of 9/11, the SAJ is participating in an interfaith service of music and prayer, as New Yorkers of all faiths come together to remember those who perished and to look toward a future of hope. Location: Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, 30 W 68th St.
