The Hebrew word “Shorashim” means “roots.” Our Shorashim Program is intended to help our 7 and 8 year-olds become connected to Jewish life and Jewish culture in such a way that they begin to see Judaism as a source of spiritual and emotional nourishment. The Shorashim Program is modeled after Maria Montessori’s history curriculum for 7-12 year olds while also continuing to draw from the exploratory approach of the discovery centers described in the Nitzanim program.
Shorashim classes meet once a week, and
you may choose from either of two sections:
- Sunday (10am-1pm)
- Tuesday (4:15-6:15pm)
