Our Mission

At SAJ Hebrew School we’re about creating connection and engagement – with Judaism, with each other, and with the world. We make this happen by providing a range of joyous, exciting educational and social opportunities for our community's children and their families.

Through our experiential learning approach, children of all ages live the joys of Jewish life. Rather than rely on rote, textbook learning, our children thrive in an environment of openness, exploration and creativity. They engage cooperatively in all that Judaism has to offer: Jewish culture and history; holiday ritual and prayer; Hebrew literacy; Judaic arts; and social justice (tikkun olam).

We welcome diversity and embrace families of varying composition that are committed to raising Jewish children.

Parent and Family Programs

Don’t you wish that Hebrew School had been this way when you were a kid? Well, it’s never too late. We believe that meaningful Jewish living is fostered in homes and families are a vital part of our school community. In order to help you create the most satisfying Jewish environment for your home, we offer a variety of programs to our parents and families.
