Join us for this exciting and innovative Shabbat evening service led by SAJ's Cantor Lisa Arbisser and the founder of the Bluegrass Kabbalat Shabbat Experience --  Matt Check.  Matt also co-leads the SAJ High Holiday Family Services.

The Bluegrass Kabbalat Shabbat Experience is a set of traditional and newly composed melodies, infused with the vitality of bluegrass rhythms.

Matt Check has been a Jewish educator and musician in New York City for nearly a decade. He is currently the Director of Jewish Education at the 92nd Street Y, where he runs the Jewish afterschool program and a variety of other educational initiatives. Matt is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and producer of bluegrass and Jewish children's music.
