Taught by SAJ's Kleinbaum Rabbinic Intern, David Eber. Connecting with and seeking meaning from ancient Jewish prayer can be difficult and unfamiliar territory for many of us. After the High Holidays, David will teach a new way to explore the prayerbook and its meaning to engage learners in multiple modalities. We will learn the mechanics of the service, the intentions of specific prayers and will pray together. Participants will have the opportunity to forge their own path with Jewish prayer and meaning.Familiarity with Hebrew is not necessary.

welcome to the sAJ community
We’re a community that believes it’s possible to lead a 21st-century life that is deeply rooted in both Jewish tradition and contemporary civilization. Judaism helps us find meaning and inspiration as we seek to lead lives committed to spiritual growth, social justice, and building community. We welcome the richness that diversity brings to this community, where we learn about, struggle with, and even question our Judaism as we continue to "reconstruct" it for our times.
